QR code generator
Most free QR generators encode a redirect link they control, then switch it off when a trial ends — and every printed code stops working. This generator encodes your content directly, so there is nothing to expire. Add a logo and colours, then export a print-ready SVG or PNG.
Content
Encoded directly in the code. No redirect service sits in between, so the code works for as long as the link does.
Style
For placing the code on packaging, slides or a coloured design.
Logo
Adding a logo raises error correction to High, so the code stays readable with its centre covered.

Before you print
Scan the exported file with two phones before sending it to print. A code that reads on screen can still fail on glossy stock, at a small size, or under warm light.
- Print at 2 cm (0.8 in) square or larger. Codes carrying more content — a full contact card, a long link — need more room.
- Keep dark modules on a light background. Inverted codes fail in a number of scanner apps.
- Keep the margin unless the design already surrounds the code with plain space. Scanners use the empty border to find the code.
- Shorter content produces a less dense code that reads faster and from further away. Remove tracking parameters the campaign does not need.
Use SVG for print and packaging: it scales to any size without blurring. Use PNG for slides, documents and social posts.
Questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is encoded in the code itself, with no redirect service in between. A link code works for as long as the destination page exists, and a Wi-Fi or contact code works indefinitely.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static code contains the content directly. A dynamic code contains a short link to a service that forwards to the destination, which lets the destination change and scans be counted — but the code stops working if that service is cancelled or shut down. This tool generates static codes.
Can I track how many people scan the code?
Add UTM parameters to the link before generating the code, for example ?utm_source=poster&utm_medium=qr. Scans then appear as visits in your analytics under that source, without a third-party redirect.
Will adding a logo stop the code from scanning?
Not at the sizes offered here. Adding a logo raises error correction to High, which allows up to 30% of the code to be obscured and still read. Logo sizes are capped below that limit.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The code is generated in your browser, and uploaded logos are processed on your device. Nothing is sent to a server or stored.
Can I use the codes commercially?
Yes. The codes are free to use on packaging, print, signage and advertising, with no attribution and no licence fee.
