Thread splitter
Paste a long post or an article excerpt and get a thread that never cuts a sentence in half. Each platform is counted by its own rules — on X, every link counts as 23 characters and emoji count as two — so no post is rejected at the last moment.
Keeps paragraphs together as separate posts where they fit.

Most brands still measure AI search the way they measured SEO: are we mentioned or not? That misses how buyers actually use assistants. 1/4
A buyer does not ask "best CRM". They describe their situation: a 40-person team, already on Google Workspace, under budget pressure, migrating from spreadsheets. The assistant's answer changes with every one of those details. 2/4
So the useful question is not whether you appear, but in which situations you are recommended, which ones you lose, and why. That is a different kind of research from rank tracking. 3/4
We built Allswap around that question. Here is what we have learned from studying thousands of these decision scenarios. 4/4
How posts are counted
X uses weighted counting: Latin letters, numbers and punctuation count as one, while emoji, Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters count as two, and every link counts as 23 regardless of its length. The limit is 280 for standard accounts.
Threads allows 500 characters per post. Bluesky allows 300 graphemes, so an emoji with a skin tone counts once.
Posts break at the end of a sentence wherever possible, then at a word. The number is reserved before splitting, so adding “1/7” never pushes a post over the limit.
Questions
How do I turn a long post into a thread?
Paste the text, choose the platform and numbering, and copy each post in order. Post the first, then reply to it with the second, and so on — or paste them into the platform's thread composer.
Why does X show a different character count from other tools?
X counts some characters as two and every link as 23. Tools that count raw characters approve posts that X then rejects. This splitter uses X's own weighting.
Should a thread be numbered?
Numbering tells readers how long the thread is and keeps the order clear when posts are shared individually. Leave it off for short threads of two or three posts.
What is the ideal thread length?
As short as the idea allows. Most well-performing threads are four to eight posts, with the strongest claim in the first one — it is the only post most people see.
Is my text saved?
No. The text is split in your browser and is not uploaded.
